The engineer turned farmer has cultivated this variety of the Goldenberry and is practicing natural farming with farmers in Madhya Pradesh. Flavor/Texture: Sweet and sour, this tropical fruit is from the hills It can be cut up and consumed with the flesh and seeds. Best enjoyed cold as it is, as a juice, or then as an addition to a salad/sauce.

Origin: Mangalore

Storage Tips: Refrigerate and consume within 3-4 days. The more wrinkly the skin, the more sweet and ripe it is.

INDIAN AVOCADO

Flavor/Texture: Buttery, sweet, and tasty. 5% Less fat than Haas Avocados, these Indian Avocados are tasty and mature.

Origin: Mangalore

Qty: 3-5 pcs in 1kg

Storage Tips : Check if soft at the stem. If hard, then unripe and to stored in dry place to ripen. If soft, then ready to consume. Store in an airtight box and and use over 2-3 days. If mushy at the stem and mushy all over it is overripe. Consume as a guacamole/dip only if it smells fine. When storing in refrigerator, remove the skin and keep the seed and add a splash of lemon to avoid darkening of the fruit.

Flavor/Texture: Sweet and tropical, this fruit is a delight in flavor and some times known as the Queen of fruits in flavor. White flesh can be consumed and thick purple rind can be used to make a sherbet or tea. It is from the kokum family and even looks like a larger version of it. Best enjoyed as it is.

Origin: Mangalore

Qty: 8-12 pcs in 1kg

Storage Tips: Refrigerate and use over 3-4 days. The greener the leaves, and lighter the skin color, the more fresh the fruit is. Once the skin goes rock hard, the fruit is overripe.
